Welcome to The Annex: Clay and Culinary Studio, the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon’s dedicated space for messy, delicious, and tactile learning. Included with your museum admission or membership, The Annex houses two specialized studios designed to spark curiosity and build real-world skills.
Clay Studio
Step into a sensory world of pottery! Open to the public, you can enjoy free clay play or join a specialized workshop for a fee. From mastering the potter’s wheel to painting unique bisqueware, our studio invites creators of all ages to explore, build, and express themselves through the art of tactile, hands-on discovery.
Culinary Studio
Transform into a Junior Chef! Classes are free with museum admission or membership. Our kitchen studio blends nutrition, math, and science through the joy of cooking. Kids learn to measure, mix, and taste their way to success with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Join our daily drop-in sessions to practice essential skills like chopping, mixing, and seasoning.
