Every child has the chance to learn through play at The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon. Your group will explore hands-on interactive exhibits inspired by life in Southern Oregon!

Planning Your Visit

Please review our field trip policies below to help us create a wonderful experience for your group.

Field Trip Policies

Reservations: Required at least 2 weeks in advance for groups of 10 or more children.

Chaperones: There must be one adult chaperone (age 18 or older) for every 5 children.

Capacity: The maximum group size is 40 children.

Exclusions: Use of the Clay Studio and Culinary Studio is not included in field trips.

Confirmation Required: Submitting a request form does not guarantee a reservation. All field trips must be officially approved by our Museum Team, and groups arriving without a final confirmation email will not be admitted.

Availability

  • Days: Tuesday – Friday

  • Time Slot: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Advance Notice: Minimum 2 weeks required

Black Out Dates

To ensure a smooth and high-quality experience for all visitors, field trips are unavailable on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, July 22

  • Wednesday, July 29

  • Tuesday, August 4

Please Note: This list reflects current public blackout dates on our website, but additional blackout dates may apply. Our booking team will confirm complete availability and share any updated restrictions when reviewing your visit request.

Field Trip Gears
  • Enjoy a special group discount on our standard admission:

    • Children: $12 (Reg. $15)

    • Adults: $8 (Reg. $10)

    • Lead Teacher/Organizer: Free admission.

    Important Payment Details:

    • A 20% non-refundable deposit is due at least 2 weeks in advance to reserve your date.

    • Full payment is required at the time of the visit, though advance payment is encouraged.

    • Museum memberships cannot be used for field trip admission.

  • Groups may explore all open areas of the museum, including the Makery and The Outdoor Adventure.

    Lunch/Snacks: The designated eating area for groups is currently the amphitheater in our Outdoor Adventure space.

  • The Children’s Museum is located in downtown Medford at 413 W. Main St.

    • Arrival: Groups should gather in front of the building while the lead teacher/organizer checks in at the front desk.

    • Parking: Parking is limited to street parking on surrounding blocks; please observe posted time limits.

    Buses: Please note that no bus parking is available on-site.
