  • Please be aware that by entering the Children's Museum, you consent to your voice, name, and/or likeness being used, without compensation, in photos, films, and tapes for exploitation in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, for eternity; and you release the Oregon Center for Creative Learning, its successors, assigns, and licensees from any liability whatsoever of any nature.

  • For the safety of our guests, we do not allow children without adults or adults without children. Children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. Adults unaccompanied by children may be accompanied by a staff member, if staffing is available.

  • Out of respect for all guests and the capacity of our space, we are unable to accommodate birthday parties in our public areas. If you are interested in having a birthday party at the museum, please check out our Private Events and connect with our Outreach Team to reserve our Culinary Studio, where we are able to accommodate celebrations. Private Events include a designated space for your party and museum admission.

  • For the enjoyment and safety of all our guests, at least one adult is required to accompany every five children. This ensures that adults are able to interact with and keep eyes on all the children under their care.

  • For groups with 10 or more children, advanced reservations are required. This allows us time to ensure that we are properly staffed for your party and to notify our other guests of the increased number of people in the museum.

  • We do not allow pets in the museum. Certified service animals are always welcome. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, “comfort,” “therapy,” or “emotional support animals” do not meet the definition of a service animal.

  • Food is allowed at the tables outside Lyn’s Little Learners, in the Outdoor Adventure area, or in the Annex Kitchen Studio. Sealed drinks (water bottles, sippy cups) are allowed within the museum unless otherwise noted. Please notify staff immediately in the case of a spill.

The use of alcohol, tobacco, vaporizers, cannabis, or any illegal substance is strictly prohibited anywhere at the Children’s Museum and within 10 feet of any entrance.

  • For the safety of our children, no weapons (including concealed guns, open-carry guns, or air guns) are allowed. The Children's Museum of Southern Oregon, a private, non-profit children's museum and preschool, is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment. This policy is a proactive step toward reducing risks associated with the intentional or accidental use of weapons, regardless of whether a federal or state license to possess the same has been issued to the possessor. Anyone possessing a weapon will be asked to remove it from our premises immediately. Refusal to do so will be considered trespassing. The only exception to this policy is law enforcement.

  • Guests wearing or otherwise displaying obscene messages, symbols/language of hate, or content that is generally inappropriate for a children’s museum will not be allowed. This includes the display of imagery or words that convey violence, weaponry, profanity, racism, nudity, or incite unsafe behaviors. The Children’s Museum reserves the right to determine what imagery, terms, or language fits the criteria above. Examples of prohibited symbolism include the Nazi swastika and the Confederate flag.

  • Aggressive and threatening behaviors toward staff or other museum patrons are not tolerated and will result in removal from the facility. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Threats of harm or physical violence.

    • Derogatory or inappropriate comments or remarks about an individual's religion, culture, or race.

    • Homophobic, sexist, or other derogatory language or remarks.

    • Verbal abuse, including offensive, profane, and vulgar language.

    • Unwelcome and/or inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances.

The health, safety, and comfort of our visitors is a high priority.
