Off-Site Event
Día de los niños/Día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day—also known as Día) is a nationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children from all backgrounds. Join the Children's Museum and the Jackson County library and help with a fun activity.

Off-Site Event
The Children’s Museum is going to Comic Con. Come be a superhero and play with kids. We will have lots of fun activities for the whole family at Pear Blossom Park in downtown Medford. This is a very fun event to join. Kid-friendly costumes are permitted.
Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th. 10 am to 5 pm
Select at least 2 consecutive hours

Off-Site Event
You are invited to join us in the Boatnik Parade. Walk beside us, wave to the audience and give out candy. Strollers and wagons are welcome.

Saturday - May 23th, Staging starts at 9:30. Our meeting time will depend on the line-up announced on 5/19.

The parade begins promptly at 10 AM and covers about 1.2 miles.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome but anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Under 18 requires guardian's permission. We will provide drinks and community service certificates.

Sound, Color, Action
During “Sound Painting”, kids explore the interface of visual and audio art in this program - as music plays, kids paint what they hear. Guest musicians are needed to expand kids’ exposure to different instruments and styles.

Fridays- Arrive by 2:45; start playing at 3 and play for 30 to 45 minutes.

Interact with guests and present interactive items like animal furs, musical instruments or building blocks.
*Museum Program Positions require a commitment of at least 1 hour per week. There is a required training session before volunteering in the museum. This training session takes about 1 hour (some may be able to be completed from home).

In both the Children’s Museum and The Ivy School - we are able to host students for high school and college practicum hours, internships or projects. Each project is approved on a case by case basis.
