Hispanic Heritage Cultural Celebration Month
During the month of September, we will be hosting special programs and themed provocations in celebration of Hispanic Culture. We invite you to participate in these activities throughout the Museum.

Hispanic Heritage Month Soundscapes
An official language of 20 countries, Spanish is spoken all across the world. The music that comes from these places is as diverse as the places themselves — blending together European, African, Caribbean, and Indigenous musical heritage to create an infinite variety of sound. The music on this playlist has been specifically curated to include a range of styles from across the world. Songs can be enjoyed by both adults and children of all ages!

Enjoy music from African American communities while you play!
African American musical influences have formed the very core of modern American music. Song choices on this playlist showcase both modern Black musicians and many of those trailblazing Black artists who shaped our musical landscape. Songs can be enjoyed by both adults and children of all ages!

Asian American
& Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Throughout the month of May, we hosted special programs and themed provocations in celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) culture. Families enjoyed exploring these activities across the Museum while listening to vibrant music from AAPI communities!
This mindfully curated collection tracks a geographic journey starting in India, traveling north through Nepal and the Himalayas to China and South Korea, and moving southeast through Taiwan and Indonesia before finishing in Hawaii and the Polynesian Islands.
