Celebration of Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month

​

The Children's Museum is teaming up with the Southern Oregon Chinese Cultural Association & Hula O Nuku ‘Ä€ina, to host a fun-filled event on May 19th from noon to 5 PM to celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.  Enjoy this event with museum admission or membership.

Sunday, May 19th

12 pm-5 pm

Museum admission or membership required>

​

  • Lion Dance Performance: 1 pm

  • ‘Kahiko (Ancient) Hula’ Performance followed by a hands-on demonstration for the kids: 2 pm

  • ‘Auana (Modern) Hula and Tahitian and Maori’ Performance: 4 pm

  • Ukulele class: 3 PM

  • Crafts

  • Cooking demonstrations and treats

  • Special Clay Projects
